Alan Kyro, PE

Alan Kyro is a Senior Engineer and Construction Specialist with RCL. With RCL since 2017 – Alan has decades of experience in the industry, dating back to 1975. His educational background is in Architectural Drafting and Civil/Structural Engineering, and his areas of expertise are Structural Design and Analysis related to Commercial Construction, Industrial Construction, Agricultural Construction, Military Construction and Residential Construction.

Says Alan: “Diverse training and experience brought to a project can be beneficial in many areas outside of the narrow scope of the job. I enjoy showing people things that can save money when they are noticed, showing ways that can be more productive and, most importantly, pointing out things that are unsafe.” Alan’s desire to provide excellent work is what drives him. He loves to hear the words, “Well done.” He values being a compassionate person, going the extra mile and laughing as much as possible, to “keep the stress level down and the health level up.”

Alan describes one outstanding career moment as the time he designed the curved metal studs on the bottom of the sunscreen for the Minnesota Twins Baseball Stadium at Target Field.

Alan enjoys spending time with family, exploring and reading. He also enjoys talking about thunderstorms and various atmospheric events explaining how the thermal dynamic properties of the rain/snow cycles moderate both extremes of hot and cold outdoor temperatures.
